Terms of Service

1. The service

FreeSteamIdler ("we", "us") operates servers that keep your linked Steam™ account marked as in-game so that playtime accrues on games you own ("idling" or "hour boosting"). We also provide optional related features: trading-card collection, appearance settings, automatic reconnection, and similar conveniences described on our Features page.

FreeSteamIdler is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Valve Corporation. Steam is a trademark of Valve Corporation. Hour idling is not officially endorsed by Valve; you use the service with that understanding (see our safety page for an honest discussion).

2. Eligibility & accounts

One FreeSteamIdler account per person. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live) and may only link Steam accounts you own. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.

3. Acceptable use - prohibited conduct

• Linking Steam accounts you do not own, including stolen or "rented" accounts.
• Using the service on accounts intended for resale, including boosting hours to inflate account sale value for VAC-banned or compromised inventories.
• Linking accounts with recent VAC bans (we detect and reject these).
• Creating multiple free accounts to evade free-tier limits.
• Abusing the away-message or auto-friend features for spam, harassment, or phishing.
• Reverse-engineering, attacking, or interfering with the service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts violating these rules, without refund for consumed hours.

4. Plans, payments & refunds

Paid plans are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. Fixed packages grant a pool of idling hours that never expires; Lifetime grants unlimited hours for the life of the service. Plans are tied to your FreeSteamIdler account and are non-transferable. Refunds: full refund within 24 hours of purchase if no hours from the package have been used; otherwise no refund. 5. Service availability

We target 24/7 operation but do not guarantee uninterrupted service - Steam maintenance, network events, and our own maintenance can pause idling. Hours are only consumed while your session actively idles. If Valve changes its platform in ways that prevent idling, we will communicate options; prolonged inability to deliver purchased hours qualifies for a pro-rated refund at our discretion.

6. Your Steam account

You acknowledge that hour idling occupies your account's game session (Steam permits one at a time); our Auto-Stop feature yields to your own play. We store only an encrypted refresh token (never your password) - details in the Privacy Policy. You can revoke our access at any time by unlinking or via Steam's security settings.

7. Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for actions Valve takes regarding your Steam account.

8. Termination & deletion

You may delete your account at any time from the dashboard - the process is as easy as signing up. Deletion removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may terminate accounts for violations of Section 3.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email or dashboard notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
